Die Rhön…
Die Rhön ist ein deutsches Mittelgebirge und erstreckt sich über drei Bundesländer nämlich Hessen, Bayern und Thüringen. Die Gemeinde Poppenhausen (Wasserkuppe) liegt im hessischen Teil der Rhön. Die ca. 8 Km vom Hammenhof entfernt gelegene Wasserkuppe ist nicht nur der höchste Berg der Gesamt-Rhön, sondern auch Hessens höchste Erhebung.
